Lentil Dining Table

2025

This bespoke table was designed after a close study of the room it inhabits — the corner it rests in, the paths people naturally walk, and the way the space is used throughout the day. The kidney-shaped tabletop adapts to these spatial conditions, creating an ergonomic form that feels at ease in its environment, whether shared by three people or expanded to host a dinner of seven.

Soft edges and rounded geometries bring an organic contrast to the surrounding interior. Its gradient finish — shifting from turquoise and light teal into lime green and a soft raspberry hue — creates continuity with the colours already present while giving the piece a gentle, playful identity.

Two sculptural stainless-steel legs form a playful double-wave line beneath the top. Mounted on organic-shaped steel plates, each leg can be dismantled easily with three screws. Black rubber footings ensure stability and protect the floor.

Material
The tabletop is made from reclaimed wood, cut from an old discarded surface. The legs are crafted from stainless steel, chosen for its durability and full recyclability. Anti-slip ends are cut from reused tartan rubber flooring. The coloured gradient is sealed with an eco-friendly, water-based varnish that provides a robust, long-lasting surface suitable for daily use. Together, these materials reflect a commitment to circularity and thoughtful construction.
